Crew Dispatch Link

When you schedule a crew member to a job on the dispatch board, they can be given a link that opens the job without signing in. They see the job, and they update their own status as they go. It is the quickest way to keep a field crew reporting in without every person needing a full QELM login. This guide covers what the link shows, updating status, and keeping the link private.

What the link opens

The dispatch link opens a single job’s status page in a browser. No login is needed: the link itself is the way in. The page carries your company’s letterhead (your name and logo), so to the crew member it reads as your company’s page, not a generic one.

Updating status

From that page, the crew member updates their own status on the job as the work moves along:

• Acknowledged — they have seen the assignment.
• En route — they are on the way.
• On site — they have arrived.
• Completed — the work is done.

Each update flows straight back to the dispatch board, so the office can see where the crew is without calling around.

The link is the access — do not forward it

Because the link opens the job with no login, anyone who has the link can open that job’s page. Send it only to the crew member it is for, and do not forward it or post it anywhere public. If a link should no longer work, reschedule the assignment.

A note on what you see

The dispatch link only ever opens the one job it was made for, inside your own workspace: it cannot reach any other job or any other company’s work. A link that is invalid or no longer active simply shows a “link not found” page. For scheduling crew in the first place, see the Dispatch guide.
